Mr. Kristopher Brackebusch

Mr. Brackebusch has been teaching at Dorsey since 2012. He teaches Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science. His passion is bringing science to life for his students, guiding them in exploring the world and developing their understanding of how it works. Through real-world experiments and virtual simulations students engage in inquiry learning, make observations and collect evidence, and draw their own scientific conclusions. It is learning that lasts a lifetime.

Ms. Long has 23 years of teaching experience in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She is an alumna of Dorsey, Class of 1992, and has been teaching at Dorsey since 2001. Her passion for teaching is expressed through empowering her students and awakening their desire to learn social studies. She inspires the youth to reach their full potential, as well as guide students in providing service to their community through real world experiences. With exceptional energy, innovative curriculum and a nurturing learning environment, Ms. Long brings social studies alive. Learning is a continuous, lifelong journey and adventure! Ms. Long is the mother of two daughters. She finds solace in early morning walks on the beach and traveling to exotic tropical islands.

Loretta Brown currently serves as the Magnet counselor for grades 9th -12th. She has always had a mission to help students maximize their potential. Mrs. Brown is a firm believer in hard work and doing your best at all times. Students under her advisement have maintained graduation rates of 95% and above.
